LSU
followed the curriculum of the Army ROTC designed by the army
Reserved Command General Headquarters. Its feature are:
- The basic ROTC course is
designed to be completed for one (1) year only, or two (2)
semesters;
- Each semester is credited for
three (3) units;
- The maximum contact hours for
one semester is sixty (60);
- The first semester of the course
includes Military Orientation, Civic-Military Operations,
Individual Protective Measures, Basic Weapons Training 1, Combat
Training of Individual Soldiers, Pre-Marksmanship Training/
Familiarization Firing and Drills and Ceremonies; and,
- The second semester of the
course includes General Military Subject, Small unit Tactics,
Individual/unit Training/ Crew Serve Weapons Training and Drills
and Ceremonies.
