| The
College is nestled in Barangay Cagnocot in the Municipality
of Villaba, which is almost 80 kilometers northwest of the LSU-Main
Campus. It was established in 1974 as the Villaba High School.
Thirteen (13) years later (in 1960), the school was converted
into a national agricultural school named Villaba Rural High
School. It was further elevated into Leyte National Agricultural
College (LNAC) on August 12, 1969 by virtue of RA 5929. It started
offering Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) and Bachelor
of Science in Agricultural Education (BSAgEd) with majors in
Agronomy and Animal Husbandry in 1975. Its Current curricular
programs include Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) with
majors in Crop Science and Animal Science and Bachelor of Secondary
Education (BSEd) with majors in English, Mathematics, and General
Science. The College has proposed to offer Bachelor of Elementary
Education (BEED) and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in
Agricultural Education. |
