After hosting in 2015, VSU will bring back the annual sporting event to the university in 2017.

Dr. Tulin told in his acceptance speech that he’s grateful for the trust bestowed upon the university to hold the games again for the nth time.

“I hope that when you [athletes] come to VSU next year, you will have a unique experience. We hope to see more of you, more of the young talents in 2017,” he added.

The SCUAA-8 originally begun as friendly athletic competition between the then Visayas College of Agriculture (ViSCA) now VSU and the University of the Philippines – Visayas Tacloban College (UPVTC) in 1984.

The first ViSCA President Dr. Fernando Bernardo is considered the father of SCUAA-Eastern Visayas.
