This page contains information on admission and enrollment for incoming first-year students. Enrollment procedures in previous semesters are updated to include a mandatory health assessment of all students entering the campus.

Admission of Incoming First-Year Students

VSU Main Campus

All qualifiers shall undergo pre-enrollment at the MyVSU Student Portal.

Accepted qualifiers will be allowed to claim their slots from May 16 to May 28, 2023. Starting May 29, the remaining slots (except for BSN, BSCE, and DVM) will be made available to open qualifiers on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pre-enrollment can only be done until July 29, 2023, Friday.

For BSN, BSCE, and DVM, slots are offered to waitlisted qualifiers as they become available on a next-in-rank scheme.

How to Pre-enroll:

  1. Go to the MyVSU Student Portal at my.vsu.edu.ph (Use the Google Chrome browser on your computer or mobile device to ensure compatibility.)

  2. Enter the needed information such as your ECN, Name, Birthday, Email, and Mobile Number. These details must match with what has been submitted during your CAT application in order to proceed.

  3. For open qualifiers, choose your desired program from the list. For accepted qualifiers, you are locked into your program.

  4. Complete the information and submit. A confirmation page says you have successfully pre-enrolled.

Pre-enrolled qualifiers shall undergo health assessment at the University Services for Health, Emergency, and Rescue (USHER) also known as the VSU Infirmary.

The health assessment at the VSU Infirmary comprises the following steps:

  1. Appointment and Registration

    Starting June 1 until July 30, an appointment system will be implemented through the MyVSU Student Portal. More details will be provided here soon on how to make an appointment. Only those who have an appointment for the day and time will be allowed to enter the lower campus to go to the Infirmary.

    USHER will be accepting 200 appointments per day: 100 in the morning and 100 in the afternoon. For each batch, 40 with lab results and 60 without lab results will be taken in.

  2. Checking of Vital Signs (only at the VSU Infirmary)

  3. Laboratory Test

    Lab tests (Urinalysis, Fecalysis, and CBC) may be done at the VSU Infirmary during your appointment or through a DOH-Accredited Laboratory beforehand at your personal expense. Testing at the Infirmary is free of charge.

  4. X-Ray

    The Chest PA X-ray may be done at the VSU Infirmary during your appointment or through a DOH-Accredited X-Ray Facility beforehand at your personal expense. X-Ray at the Infirmary is free of charge.

  5. Dental Exam (this may only be done at the VSU Infirmary)

  6. Physical Exam with a VSU Medical Doctor

  7. Release of Medical Certificate

When you are done with your health assessment, you must submit an original copy of your admission controls to the Admissions Office personally as soon as possible.

To personally hand in your documents, you may proceed to the Convention Center near the oval grounds stage in the VSU Lower Campus. You may have someone else submit your credentials.

Documents to submit:

  1. School credentials:
    1. Original Report Card: Form 138/SF9 (For SHS graduating students/HS graduates only);
    2. ALS A&E Certificate of Rating (For ALS graduates only); 
    3. Transcript of Records with Certificate of Transfer Credentials or Honorable dismissal (For second coursers and transferees only);
  2. Original PSA Birth Certificate
  3. Original Certificate of Good Moral Character; and
  4. Four (4) ID pictures, passport size, colored with white background.
  5. Medical certificate issued by USHER.

The Admissions staff will issue an acknowledgement receipt once your credentials have been submitted.


VSU Tolosa Campus

All qualifiers shall undergo pre-enrollment at the MyVSU Tolosa Student Portal

Accepted qualifiers will be allowed to claim their slots from May 19 to May 28, 2023. Starting May 29, the remaining slots will be made available to open qualifiers on a first-register, first-served basis.

Pre-enrollment can only be done until July 29, 2023, Friday.

How to Pre-enroll:

  1. Go to the MyVSU Tolosa Student Portal at https://my-tolosa.vsu.edu.ph (Use the Google Chrome browser on your computer or mobile device to ensure compatibility.)
  2. Enter the needed information such as your ECN, Name, Birthday, Email, and Mobile Number. These details must match with what has been submitted during your CAT application in order to proceed.
  3. For open qualifiers, choose your desired program from the list with open slots. For accepted qualifiers, you are locked into your program.
  4. Complete the information and submit. A confirmation page says you have successfully pre-enrolled.

Pre-enrolled qualifiers must submit the following admission requirements per student category. This shall be done from: June 1-14, 2023 for Transferees and Second Coursers, and July 17-29, 2023 for New Enrollees (SHS Graduates, Old Curriculum Graduates, ALS Passers)

Enclose all documents in a long, brown envelope with your full name (LN, FN MI), degree program, and contact number at the back of the envelope.

The Registrar will not entertain, accept, and process qualifiers with incomplete requirements.

SHS Graduates/Old Curriculum Graduates

ALS Passers

Transferees and Second Coursers

  1. Original copy of Report Card (Form 138 / School Form 9) 
  2. Original copy of PSA-issued Birth Certificate
  3. Original copy of Certificate of Good Moral Character
  4. Four (4) pieces of ID pictures (passport size, colored with white background (Write your full name at the back of each photo)
  5. Originally signed Medical Certificate by a Licensed Physician indicating that you are fit to attend school, and with laboratory results attached:

For BS Fisheries, BEEd, BSEd:

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Urinalysis
  • Chest X-ray

For BS Criminology:

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Urinalysis
  • Chest X-ray
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG)
  1. Original copy of ALS Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Certificate of Rating
  2. Original copy of PSA-issued Birth Certificate
  3. Original copy of Certificate of Good Moral Character
  4. Four (4) pieces of ID pictures (passport size, colored with white background (Write your full name at the back of each photo)

If you will be asked by the medical facility to present a medical request for your laboratory examinations, please refer below:

The Registrar staff will issue an acknowledgement receipt once all documents have been verified and received.

If all abovementioned steps are in order, the Registrar Staff will enroll the qualifier via the CumulusOne Portal by adding the courses the student needs to be enrolled in. Once done, an e-copy of the Certificate of Registration (COR) will be sent to your registered email.

You can also view your official enrollment via the myVSU Tolosa Student Portal. An official announcement will be made through our Facebook Page, Visayas State University Tolosa on how to create your student account in the student portal.

Your COR is your official proof that you are now a #ProudTolosaViscan!


VSU Villaba Campus

New Enrollees & Transferees

Client must proceed to the VSU Villaba Admission Office to verify their status as an admitted/open qualifier of the VSUCAT 2023.

After verification and confirmation, the admission officer then proceeds to collect the required documents:

NEW ENROLLEES

  1. School Credentials:
    1. Original High School Report Card (Form 138)
    2. Certification of the student’s date of graduation duly certified by the school principal
    3. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  2. Original copy of birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
  3. Three copies of passport size picture-coloured with white background

TRANSFEREES

  1. School credentials:
    1. Certificate of Transfer Credentials/Honourable Dismissal
    2. Copy of all previous grades/Transcript of records certified by the School Registrar (GPA of at least 2.5)
    3. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  2. Original copy of birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
  3. Three copies of passport size picture-coloured with white background

Client fills out the Admission Application Form and submits it to the VSU Villaba Admission Office for certification.

Client is now officially admitted to the university and can proceed for their enrolment.

The Admission Office Application Form will serve as the basis for the Registrar’s Office to accept the admitted student for enrolment.

Client is advised to proceed to the school clinic for the list of requirements for their medical examination needed for their enrolment.


VSU Isabel Campus

New Enrollees & Transferees

Accepted Qualifiers shall go to the VSU Isabel Admission Office to process their pre-enrollment from May 16-28.

Open Qualifiers may start pre-enrolling on May 29 and July 29 in the available slots.

Pre-enrolled Qualifiers will proceed to the medical examination done in the VSU Isabel School Clinic starting June 1 until July 30, 2023.

Required Medical Laboratory Results:

  1. Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  2. Urinalysis
  3. Fecalysis
  4. Chest X-ray

Submit the following requirements to the Admission Office which is located at the lower campus:

Freshmen

Acceptance of New Enrollee Credentials on July 17 - 29.

  1. High School Report Card
  2. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  3. Birth Certificate (PSA Authenticated)
  4. 2 pcs. 1x1 ID pictures with white background
  5. 3 pcs. 2x2 ID pictures with white background
  6. 1 pc. Long file folder
  7. Medical Certificate from a public physician with attached laboratory results with one (1) photocopy

Transferees

Acceptance of Transferee Credentials will start on June 1 - 14.

  1. Certificate of Transfer/Honorable Dismissal
  2. Transcript of Records (TOR)
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  4. Birth Certificate (PSA Authenticated)
  5. 2 pcs. 1x1 ID pictures with white background
  6. 3 pcs. 2x2 ID pictures with white background
  7. 1 pc. Long file folder
  8. Medical Certificate from a public physician with attached laboratory results with one (1) photocopy

VSU Alangalang Campus

Accepted Applicants may start pre-enrolling May 18 until June 5, 2023.

Laboratory Requirement are the following:

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC);
  • Urinalysis; Fecalysis;
  • Chest X-ray;
  • Blood Typing
Note that the Laboratory examination requirements mentioned can be acquired in any accredited medical laboratory facilities. Secure a Medical Certificate from a public physician with the following Laboratory Results.

Reminders:

For pregnant women, acquire a pelvic Ultrasound instead of Chest X-ray.

Enclose the medical requirements in a long brown envelope. Also, provide a long plastic envelope.

Then, proceed to the medical assessment done in the VSU Alangalang Clinic starting from June 12 until June 30, 2023.

Submit the following admission requirements to the Office of the Registrar starting July 3 until July 7, 2023:

For SHS Graduates/Old Curriculum

  • Graduates For ALS Passers For Transferees and Second Coursers

  • Certificate, PSA-MC, if Married.

  • Moral Character
  • Four (4) pieces of ID picture (passport size, colored with white background. Write your full name at the back of each photo)

For Transferees and Second Courser

  • Original copy of Transcript of Records with Certificate of Transfer
  • Credentials OR Honorable Dismissal
  • Original copy of PSA-issued Birth
  • Certificate, PSA-MC, if Married.
  • Original copy of Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • Four (4) pieces of ID pictures (passport size, colored with white background. Write your full name at the back of each photo.)

Enclose all the abovementioned requirements in a long expanding envelope with the following color codes:

  • BEED – Red
  • BSED – Blue
  • BSA – Green
  • BSES – Violet

Students are now officially admitted to the university and can proceed with their enrolment.

Enrollment Schedule for Incoming First Year Students will start from July 10 until Aug 4, 2023.


Reminders

  • Enclose all the above-mentioned requirements in a green long expanding envelope.
  • A qualifier with incomplete requirements will not be accepted.
  • Only the VSU-CAT qualifiers or passers are eligible to enroll.
