About the Program
The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management (BSISM) program was first introduced through CHED Memorandum Order No. 06, Series of 2018, which provided the policy framework for the program. At VSU Tolosa, the program was approved for offering under the Department of Criminology through Board of Regents Resolution No. 44, Series of 2022. It was formally offered beginning in the First Semester of Academic Year 2023–2024, following the issuance of a Passing Report on the Result of Preliminary Assessment (RRPA) by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
In 2025, the BSISM Program became part of the newly created Department of Industrial Security Management (DISM), with a designated Department Head, thereby establishing a distinct academic unit dedicated to industrial security management education and training. In the same year, the BSISM Program was awarded by CHED Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC), signifying its compliance with the applicable requirements and standards for the program.
