Tulin shares VSU’s best HR practices with gov’t officials in Eastern Visayas
Dr. Tulin shared to the audience how VSU has evolved to empower its faculty and staff through learning and development, as it is hailed as the model institution for having the best Learning and Development program in Region 8,
The president shared how the VSU’s journey took off as then Visayas State College of Agriculture (ViSCA). The school massively developed its workforce by sending off faculty and staff to pursue graduate studies in renowned state universities in the country and abroad.
Dr. Tulin emphasized VSU supports its workforce in terms of scholarships for graduate studies and assistance on attending relevant capacity and capability training.
The university also extends support to its faculty and staff who are presenting papers and publications here and abroad through screening of paper and reviews from colleagues, providing stipend and allowances through the VSU Scholarship/Fellowship Awards Committee.
In the pursuit of global competitiveness, President Tulin envisions VSU’s working force as globally competitive to provide internationally recognized knowledge and skills to students, hence the intensive support for the career and learning development of each member.
More than 300 public servants from the various government agencies, institutions, and local government units joined the said summit.
