Department of Hospitality Management

The Department is an academic unit that is committed to developing hospitality professionals that is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies needed in the dynamic hospitality industry.

It seeks to nurture graduates who can effectively perform both operational and management functions, demonstrate professionalism and excellence in service, and adapt to the evolving needs of the local and international hospitality industry. Through quality instruction, industry exposure, research, extension, and community engagement.

The Department contributes to VSU’s Mission of producing competent, service-oriented, and industry-ready hospitality professionals where it can create experiential learning, industry immersion, research, extension, and practical training in the areas of culinary/food production, food and beverage service, accommodations, events management, and other allied fields that create  meaningful experiences, deliver quality service, and generate sustainable value in the hospitality sector.
