Visayas State University (VSU) has once again proven the strength of its engineering program after five graduates from the Main Campus successfully passed the August 2025 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination (MELE).
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported that 1,554 out of 3,808 examinees (40.81%) passed the nationwide exam held from August 9 to 11, 2025 across major testing centers in the country.
From VSU, two first-time takers achieved a 50% passing rate, while the overall institutional performance stood at 41.67%, placing the university in line with the national passing average.
This latest success builds on the university’s strong showing in the February 2025 MELE, where VSU produced 30 new licensed engineers.
