For the second time, VSU welcomed partners from the Campus France Philippines and brought students and faculty closer to the possibilities of studying in one of Europe’s most esteemed academic landscapes. 

VSU has been selected as the only Southeast Asian university to qualify for the Stage 2 of the Institutional University Cooperation (IUC) program of VLIRUOS, a Belgian organization that promotes academic partnerships worldwide. 

For the first time, VSU will host the PAPSAS-8 Regional Student Leadership Summit on February 26-28, 2025. 

The Visayas State University College Admission Test (VSUCAT) 2025 officially starts on Saturday, February 22, 2025, marking the first day of the hybrid testing format for VSU Main Campus, VSU Isabel, and VSU Alangalang. 

VSU’s former Department of Liberal Arts and Behavioral Sciences (DLABS) building has been identified as a priority infrastructure project to undergo massive rehabilitation. 

The Annals of Tropical Research (ATR) has been officially included in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) as of January 9, 2025. 

VSU continues to assert its position among the top-performing higher education institutions in the country as it ranks 11th out of 365 Philippine universities in the January 2025 edition of the Ranking Web of Universities, formerly the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities.
