VSU will soon have its own forest products hub as the Department of Science and Technology - Forest Products and Development Institute (DOST-FPRDI) will donate wood processing machines and advanced machinery for processing wood and non-wood forest products to the university.

It is a great feat of the VSU participants from the Integrated High School (VSUIHS) as all four of them were conferred with best oral presentation awards at the 11th International Conference for Science Educators and Teachers (ISET) 2024.

Visayas State University Credit Cooperative (VSUCC) in partnership with DYDC 104.7 FM launched “VSUCC CooPeraTinabangay Kanunay,” a radio program that aims to widen the cooperative’s reach of its members for financial literacy and transparency.

Four junior agribusiness students composed of Eugene Aquino, Allan Capa, Darah Lyn Jandayan, and Kirk Lowel Pajanustan brought home a PhP 20,000 cash prize after securing the first runner-up title in the Youth Leaders of Agribusiness Congress (YLAC) 2024 case study competition. 

The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 8 (DA RFO 8) recognized VSU as one of its outstanding partners in development, specifically in the agri-fishery sectors in Eastern Visayas.

To respond immediately to campus emergencies, VSU Tolosa strengthened its disaster management by procuring a 1.8 million pesos rescue vehicle from its Special Trust Fund. 

For a centralized enrollment process for the newest #ProudViscans, the VSU Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (OVPSAS) designed the “one-stop-shop” initiative for seamless registration.
