The Visayas State University Dance Company is one of the recipients of the Meritorious Performance Award by the National Committee on Dance (NCD) of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

The VSU College of Management and Economics (CME) through Professor Moises Neil V. Seriño, CME Dean, and Assistant Professor Allen Glennie P. Lambert, VSU Executive Secretary, visited two Indonesian higher education institutions namely the Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) and IPB University for academic engagement and research collaboration.

To continually develop highly competitive human resources, Visayas State University (VSU) invested in improving its non-academic personnel by sending them to a development training held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

Mr. Adam Folleas, High Education Attache of the Embassy of France in the Philippines, and Mr. Paulo Udani, Representative of Campus France visited Visayas State University (VSU) for their educational campaign on the academic opportunities offered by the French Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

Graduating students Joseph Kenneth Labastida and Jules Uel Evan Boldo of the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (DABE) were selected together with 300 other student leaders from 14 countries in Asia to actively participate and engage in the Youth Ecosperity Dialogue (YED) held from June 4 to 10, 2023 in Singapore.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) congratulated the ten (10) higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines that were ranked in the June 2023 edition of the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings.
