VSU opens online application for VSUCAT 2027

A new academic journey could begin with just a few clicks.

Visayas State University has officially opened the online application for the Visayas State University College Admissions Test (VSUCAT) 2027, welcoming aspiring #ProudViscans from different educational backgrounds to take their first step toward becoming part of one of the country’s leading universities in science, technology, agriculture, and related fields. 

The online application period runs from September 14 to November 14, 2026. 

Whether you are a graduating senior high school student planning your first college experience, a graduate looking for a new academic path, a transferee seeking a different learning environment, or an international student exploring opportunities in the Philippines, VSU invites you to begin your application within the prescribed period.

Who can apply?

VSUCAT 2027 is open to:

• Graduating senior high school students
• Senior high school graduates
• Alternative Learning System (ALS) graduates
• Transferees
• Second-course applicants
• International students

Applicants should prepare the documents corresponding to their respective applicant category.

What documents do you need?

To make the application process easier, make sure to prepare the following early:

For graduating senior high school students:

• Certification of Grades with a Computed Grade Point Average (GPA) for Grades 9, 10, and 11
• Valid ID

For senior high school graduates:

• Certification of Grades with a Computed GPA for Grade 12
• Valid ID

For ALS graduates:

• ALS Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Rating
• Valid ID

For transferees:

• Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records (TOR)
• Valid ID

For second-courser applicants:

• Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records (TOR)
• Valid ID

Applicants who have completed only one semester in college must also submit a certification of their grades from their university registrar, as well as a computed GPA for Grade 12.

For international applicants:

• Certification of Grades indicating the GPA
• Valid passport

What counts as a valid ID?

For graduating senior high school students, senior high school graduates, ALS applicants, transferees, and second-courser applicants, acceptable identification documents include: 

• Passport
• School ID
• Driver’s license
• Postal ID
• Voter’s ID
• National ID 

If none of these documents is available, a Voter’s Certification may be accepted.

What happens after you apply?

Submitting the online application is only the first step.

Once an application has been submitted, the VSU Admissions Office will then validate the documents and determine the applicant’s eligibility to take the entrance examination.

Eligible applicants will then proceed to take the VSUCAT 2027, which is scheduled to be conducted from November to December 2026 and January 2027.

The results are expected to be released in March 2027.

This will give the applicants enough time to prepare early not only by completing their documents but also by preparing themselves for the next chapter of their academic journey.
