As part of the last infrastructure development projects of the Tulin administration, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Leyte 5th District Engineering Office will take the lead in building the university’s Learning Resource Center (LRC) that includes a 1000-seater auditorium theater.

To help local government units (LGUs) make localized strategies for reducing carbon footprint, the VSU College of Management and Economics (CME) with its scientific and technical expertise, was tapped to join the participatory planning in decarbonization in Ormoc City.

VSU is privileged as one of the university partners of the Bioeconomy Economics Research Group from the University of Passau (UniPassau) in Germany to work on joint research on the valorization of residues for bio-based products, particularly, tropical fruits.

VSU marks another national recognition as University Professor and Dean of the College of Agriculture and Food Science (CAFS) Dr. Victor B. Asio is honored with an Achievement Award by the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP).
