The sacrifices, struggles, and challenges experienced by the first batch of graduates together with their professors were paid off as it registered a high passing percentage of 84.21% in the Board Exam considering that this is the first time that the College of Nursing has produced graduates. Out of 58 examinees from VSU, 49 of them successfully passed the said Licensure Exam putting the University in the 25th place among the 483 schools throughout the country whose graduates took the 2011 Nursing Licensure Exam.

From among the total of 67,095 examinees nationwide, only 22,760 passed the examination registering a national passing percentage of 33.92%.
