Online VSU CAT

Aspiring Viscans, this is now your chance to be part of the premier university of science and technology in the Visayas.

We are sharing with you some initial information about the upcoming online VSU College Admission Test (CAT). You heard it right: VSUCAT will go online this year to ensure your personal safety and welfare in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The big bonus here is that you can take this exam in the comfort of your own home.

How will it go?

Very briefly: The 2021 online VSUCAT will be administered using an online exam platform. Applicants must book their slot using a system to take the test. The exam will be administered in 5 weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) of May and June 2021.

Wait for our official announcement for the details.

How can I apply to take the exam?

Through an online application and test appointment system. The VSU Admissions Office is finalizing the platform and we will publish it within April 2021.

Specific examination schedules will be announced very soon along with the availability of this system. Appointment slots are limited so time is of the essence when you book your preferred examination schedule.

What tools do I need to have to take the exam?

During the exam, you must have the following:

  • Desktop computer or laptop with functional video camera and microphone
  • A strong and stable internet connection
  • Google Chrome web browser

What documents do I need to prepare?

As you wait for the official announcement of the VSUCAT 2021 guidelines and procedures, we encourage you to prepare the following documents ahead of time. Doing so will make it easy for you to set an examination schedule once our online application and test appointment system is already available.

For Senior High School Graduates/Graduating Students

  • Certification from your School Principal that you are expected to graduate this School Year 2020 to 2021
  • Certification of your grades with a computed Grade Point Average (GPA) from Grades 9, 10 and 11
  • Validated school identification card (ID)

For High School Graduates in the Old Basic Education Curriculum

  • Form 138

For Alternative Learning System (ALS) Graduates

  • ALS Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) rating

For Transferees and Second Coursers

  • Certified true copy of Transcript of Records (TOR)
  • Certification of your grades with a computed Grade Point Average (GPA) from Grades 9, 10, and 11 (applicable only for those who have taken only one semester in college)

The above requirements are very important materials before you can book your preferred examination schedule.

In the meantime, you will have to keep the original copies of the above documents but you are required to upload a photo file of these documents in our online application and test appointment system.

Without the required documents, you won’t proceed with booking your preferred examination schedule that is why it is very important that you request and get these files early.
