VSU Alum tops 2013 Agricultural Engineering licensure exam

VSU alumnus Jeremia Mercado Añasco leads the 237-strong new batch of Agricultural Engineers, who passed the 2013 August Licensure Exam.
Engr. Añasco, who graduated cum laude of VSU Class 2013, garners the highest score of 80.40%, followed by Engr. Nelle Deximo of Mindanao State University-General Santos City (80.30%), and Engr. Kristian de Polonia of UPLB (80.25%).
Jeremia is among the 7 out of 9 applicants from VSU who passed the licensure exam. VSU's institutional passing rate for this exam is 77.8%, one of the best performing schools in the exam. The overall 2013 exam passing rate is 39.4%: 237 out of 601 passed.
PRC released the results in two (2) working days after the last day of exams.
As board topnotcher, Engr. Añasco will receive a cash incentive of P50,000 from VSU on the 2014 Commencement Exercise this coming April.
Engr. Jackson Bellen, another VSU alumnus, landed 3rd place in last year's AE Licensure Exam.
