To elevate the internship experience of our #ProudViscans, VSU and the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) sealed a partnership to allow Viscans to conduct their internship in any desired offices, units, or research centers from UPLB.

Assistant Professor and Head of Alumni and Community Relations Office, Corazon A. Padilla, represented Visayas and served as one of the invited panelists in the Alumni Talks on the launching of the American English Alumni Association of the Philippines, Inc. (AEAAP) or AE Alumni PH.

The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) through their extension project “VET Mends” visited the municipalities of San Isidro and Burauen, Leyte for their veterinary extension services such as castrations, rabies vaccinations, and deworming of pets and farm animals.

To improve the university’s localized warning system that will help save people's lives, properties, and agricultural commodities, the Department of Meteorology (DMet) together with the VSU Agrometeorological Station (AgroMet), and the University Integrated Media Center (UIMC) have joined forces in providing daily updates on weather-related information and important bulletins.

VSU forestry students talked about how their teamwork dynamics and excellent training from the Department of Forest Science (DFS) and College of Forestry and Environmental Science (CFES) served as their competitive edge after being declared as third runner-up in the overall 14th National Forestry Olympiad (NFO) held at the University of Philippines Los Baños this year.
