To push for a sustainable campus environment, VSU officially launched its Going Green Project, which is an initiative driven toward the realization of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

The VSU Department of Development Communication (DevCom) with the University Integrated Media Center (UIMC) joined forces with Music for the Environment and Nation Development (MEND), Inc. for the inaugural SUGAT: Eco-Festival in Limasawa in Southern Leyte.

Since unemployed youth continues to be high in rural areas despite the decline in the unemployment rate according to the Philippine Statistics Authority in 2023, VSU through the Department of Business and Management (DBM) was inspired to pursue an extension project on empowering the rural youth through entrepreneurship, digital marketing skills, leadership competence, and financial literacy development.

The Philosophical Association of the Philippines (PAP) Inc., an organization of philosophy professors and researchers in the country is looking for paper submissions for the PAP 2024 Annual Conference which will be held at Visayas State University on July 18 to 20, 2024.

This is another win for our beloved VSU as two #ProudViscan alumni graduated with flying colors in one of Thailand’s renowned universities offering graduate programs.
