VSU-Tolosa further expands its global network through a ceremonial exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on February 24, 2025 to enhance research, extension, and innovation initiatives and drive growth in the regional fisheries industry.

Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine (VetMed), Dr. Harvie P. Portugaliza, presented a paper on the causes of the African Swine Fever outbreak in Leyte at the 17th International Symposium of Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics (ISVEE) in Sydney, Australia.

Visayas State University (VSU), along with 13 other universities, is now part of a pioneering consortium led by Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) to map and benchmark sustainability initiatives through the SDG Impact Dashboard Project.

The Cooperative Development Authority partnered with VSU through the Department of Economics to conduct trainers’ training on the cooperatives’ fundamentals, governance, and management.

To conserve different species from extinction, VSU sent two Visayan flora and biodiversity experts to participate in the second national workshop on updating the Philippine key biodiversity areas (KBAs) or identified marine and terrestrial sites where organisms inhabit.
