Bachelor of Science in Fisheries

Program offered in 1976, Daniel Z. Romualdez Memorial School of Fisheries and Integrated with Leyte State University in 2001. BOR Resolution No. 18 s. 2012 – A Resolution approving the Proposal to Revise the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Program in Compliance with CMO 43, s. 2006

Master of Science in Fisheries

Per BOR Resolution No. 58, s. 2009. Master of Science in Fisheries with Major in Aquaculture and Fish Processing Technology were offered in 2013.

Program highlights

Highlights about the program:

Department of Fisheries of VSU-Tolosa was thrice awarded One Million Pesos from CHED-NAFES for being the National University/College of Fisheries (NUCF) in the Region in 2010 and 2013. In 2020, MOA had been signed, awaiting release of the 3^rd One Million Pesos grant from CHED.
The BS Fisheries Program has been a consistent recipient of BFAR Fisherfolk Children Educational Grant (FCEG) and Industry Leader (IL) Scholars from Regions: 7 (Cebu, Bohol), 8 (Leyte, Samar & Biliran) & 13 (Surigao).
Offered Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Master of Science in Fisheries Major in Fish Processing Technology and Aquaculture.
Approved and release of the Ten Million Pesos fund from the General Appropriation Act (GAA) for Marine Multi-Species Hatchery facilities and equipment.
