SaveCoconut Foundation, Inc (SCFI) announces the opening of 3 College scholarship slots for a 4-year course in Agriculture and allied fields at Visayas State University.

Qualifications and Guidelines:

1. Must be a son or daughter of a coconut farmer with great financial difficulty.  Proof of certification should be obtained from the Barangay Chairperson duly certifying that the combined gross annual income is not more than Php80,000.00.

2. Must not be related to the former COCOFED  and SCFI scholars, up to the fourth degree of consanguinity or affinity;

3. The scholarship is open to an incoming freshman student. An applicant must have:

1. GPA of 85% or better (submit a photocopy of HS Report Card)
2. Should not have any other scholarship
3. Good moral character as certified by HS Principal

4. Must carry the regular and prescribed normal load units for the degree program enrolled; and

5. During the scholarship period, he/she must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 or better for every semester with no grade lower than 3.00.

Privileges:

The financial support will include the following:

• Dormitory or lodging fee - P 500.00 per month  (not applicable during online classes)
• Monthly Stipend - P 2,500.00/month
• Book Allowance: P 2,000.00/semester (excl. summer term)
• Thesis support (4th year only after approval of the thesis outline)  - P10,000.00
