In light of the celebration of the 30th Library and Information Services (LIS) Month, the VSU Library invites you to join the #Throwback @ VSU Library Photo Contest.

This contest aims to showcase memorable throwback moments at the library through photos and promote VSU Library as well.

GUIDELINES:

ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to all bonafide VSU students, regardless of campus.

ENTRIES

1. Individual or group entries will be accepted. Each individual/group is only allowed to submit one (1) entry. Collage photos are not allowed.
2. Each entry must portray the different experiences of library users inside the library.
3. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, going to the library is discouraged. Thus, only throwback photos (taken before lockdown) are allowed. All photos should have been taken inside VSU Libraries.
4. Each entry must have a one (1) paragraph caption consisting of not more than 30 words (excluding articles).
5. All photos may be enhanced using any application.
6. The photos must be in a .jpeg, .jpg, or .png format.
7. An Entry Form shall be accomplished by the participants with an attached copy of the 2019 Valid ID or 2020 COR and submitted in .pdf format. The entry form will be sent thru email after filling-out the pre-registration Google form:  https://tinyurl.com/vsuliscontest
8. Photo Entry and attached requirements must be submitted in one folder via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  on or before November 23, 2020. Filenames shall be in the following format:
   
   
   1. Email Subject  (PHOTO Contest Lastname Firstname)

1. Photo Entry (Photo Last Name First Name)
2. 2019 Valid ID or 2020 COR (ID Last Name First Name)
3. Entry Form (Photo EF Lastname Firstname)

1. All entries submitted shall be posted by the VSU Library on its Official Facebook Page VSU Library on November 24, 2020.
2. Submission of entry constitutes permission granted to VSU library to use contestant’s name and entry for purposes of presentation, marketing, and promotion without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. All entries become the property of the VSU Library.

CRITERIA:

The decision of the panel of judges based on the following criteria is final and irrevocable.

Criteria	Description	Percentage
Originality	The work must be original	30%
*Audience Impact	Measure of  audience impressions to the photo (Likes, Hearts, and Share)	20%
Creativity and Presentation	Adherence to the technical requirements and containing elements that are creatively and correctly used (i.e. text, illustrations, etc.)	50%

*The score of audience impact will be based on the total number of Likes, Hearts, and number of Shares on Facebook from November 24 until November 27, 2020, at 11:59 pm.

CONTEST SCHEDULE / TIMELINE

 The deadline for submission of entries is on November 23, 2020. Entries will be posted at the VSU Library Facebook Page to measure audience impression from November 24 until November 27, 2020, at 11:59 pm.

AWARD

1. There will be three (3) winners of this contest who will receive the following:

1. 1st Prize – Php 1,000.00 + Certificate of Recognition
2. 2nd Prize – Php   700.00 + Certificate of Recognition
3. 3rd Prize – Php    500.00 + Certificate of Recognition

1. Winners will be posted on the VSU Library FB Page and will receive an email for notification.
