The newly sworn President of the Visayas State University system had a full day of introductory meetings, courtesy calls, gracing a strategic planning workshop for a regional consortium, and signing her first Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in her first official workday as Chief Steward.

Upon her arrival in the Office of the President today (March 14, 2024), Dr. Prose Ivy Guasa Yepes met with her management staff to personally know them and understand their impressions and expectations from her being the new leader of VSU.

In this same meeting, she assured her management staff at the OP that she will carefully review the operations of the office and consult everyone before making any crucial changes as regards staffing and structure to bring out the best in VSU.

The new University President revealed that she received a marching order with the VSU Governing Board to understand deeply the daily operational routines of the university and look into the immediate implementation of the Revised Organizational Structure and Staffing Standards (ROSSS) for state universities and colleges (SUCs).
