VSU Tolosa continues to surpass national passing rate in criminologist board

The Visayas State University Tolosa (VSU Tolosa) continues to perform well in the Criminologists Licensure Examination (CLE), posting a 69.52% institutional passing rate in the August 2026 exam, higher than the national passing rate of 57.56%.
The campus also produced 73 #ProudTolosaViscan criminologists who successfully passed the CLE. Of these 73 passers, 65 were first-time takers with a passing rate of 79.27%.
These ratings mark another achievement for VSU Tolosa and highlights its consistent performance in the said licensure examination.
VSU Tolosa Chancellor, Dr. Quenstein D. Lauzon, lauded the new criminologists and recognized the efforts of students, faculty, staff, and their families.
"On behalf of the entire VSU Tolosa community, my warmest congratulations to each one of you for successfully passing the Criminologist Licensure Examination. You have brought pride and honor to VSU Tolosa," Chancellor Lauzon said.
Chancellor Lauzon also credited the collective efforts of the VSU Tolosa community, particularly the faculty and staff of the Faculty of Criminal Justice Education (FCJE), for helping prepare the examinees for the licensure examination.
"This milestone is a testament of the concerted efforts of everyone. To the VSU Tolosa faculty and staff, particularly the FCJE, thank you for exceptional mentorship. You have proven once again that rigorous training and preparations can lead to success such as this one," she added.
Chancellor Lauzon also thanked the families of the successful examinees for their continued support, sacrifices, love, and prayers throughout their journey.
The latest CLE results add to VSU Tolosa’s continuing performance in criminology licensure examinations. In February 2025, the campus recorded a 74.68% institutional passing rate, with 115 out of 125 examinees passing the examination.
This year, 16,952 out of 29,452 examinees passed the Criminologists Licensure Examination on August 1-3, 2026 nationwide, according to the official results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on September 1, 2026.
