Associate Professor Dr. Janet Alexis A. De los Santos remains the lone VSU faculty listed in the World’s Top 2% Scientists published by Elsevier on September 16, 2024.

To equip Viscan student nurses with vital life-saving skills for emergency medical situations, the VSU College of Nursing, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross Hilongos Chapter, conducted comprehensive training in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS)—Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at the university.

One sophomore agriculture student and two fourth-year veterinary students of VSU were selected as recipients of the Scholarship Program of Bounty Cares Foundation, Inc. (BCFI), a corporate social responsibility arm of Bounty–the large-scale industrial agriculture corporation in the Philippines.

Aside from availing the premium access of Canva for Education using the @vsu.edu.ph accounts, Viscans can now enjoy Affinity, another professional design software, for free.

Visayas State University (VSU) has been singled out by the University of Ghent (UGent) in Belgium as a partner for the Institutional University Cooperation Project (IUCP). Recently, university officials met with the Belgian professors to discuss how the program will be implemented in the coming years.
