The Visayas State University (VSU) Villaba is set to grow its capacity to serve more students, following the official signing of a Contract of Usufruct with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Villaba on July 14, 2025.

Visayas State University has named Dr. Roberto C. Guarte and Mr. Sanny M. Dumpa Jr. as the newest members of its governing Board of Regents. Dr. Guarte now serves as the Alumni Regent, while Mr. Dumpa assumes the role of Student Regent.
