In celebration of Pride Month and showcasing Bohol’s weaving traditions last June, an instructor from VSU Institute of Human Kinetics (IHK) shared his research on Saguran-Raffia weaving, Bohol’s unique and traditional weaving art.

Right after winning big in the regional debate championship, the VSU Debate Society secured another victory in showcasing their debating prowess in the 1st Eastern Visayas Youth for the Futures Forum (EVYFF) organized by the Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) Main Campus.

It is a great feat of the VSU participants from the Integrated High School (VSUIHS) as all four of them were conferred with best oral presentation awards at the 11th International Conference for Science Educators and Teachers (ISET) 2024.

Assistant Professor May Ann E. Palen, a dedicated faculty member of the VSU Department of Statistics (DepStat), successfully finished her two-month Predoctoral Visit to Hasselt University (UHasselt), Belgium. 

Four junior agribusiness students composed of Eugene Aquino, Allan Capa, Darah Lyn Jandayan, and Kirk Lowel Pajanustan brought home a PhP 20,000 cash prize after securing the first runner-up title in the Youth Leaders of Agribusiness Congress (YLAC) 2024 case study competition. 

Armed with insights from the success of the Visayas State University Brand Book, the university branding team went to Caraga State University in Butuan to guide them in crafting their branding and communications manual.

To respond immediately to campus emergencies, VSU Tolosa strengthened its disaster management by procuring a 1.8 million pesos rescue vehicle from its Special Trust Fund.
