The Philosophical Association of the Philippines (PAP) Inc., an organization of philosophy professors and researchers in the country is looking for paper submissions for the PAP 2024 Annual Conference which will be held at Visayas State University on July 18 to 20, 2024.

The VSU Department of Development Communication (DevCom) with the University Integrated Media Center (UIMC) joined forces with Music for the Environment and Nation Development (MEND), Inc. for the inaugural SUGAT: Eco-Festival in Limasawa in Southern Leyte.

Our very own Taekwondo players Kerby Emperado and Lean Kristoff Abarientos secured two major awards in the Philippine Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Games 2024 Visayas Regional Qualifying Leg held in Bacolod City, Negros.

The new Commissioner of our country’s higher education agency is in awe of the beautiful landscape of our dear university on her first visit to VSU for the Board of Regents (BOR) Meeting.

Since unemployed youth continues to be high in rural areas despite the decline in the unemployment rate according to the Philippine Statistics Authority in 2023, VSU through the Department of Business and Management (DBM) was inspired to pursue an extension project on empowering the rural youth through entrepreneurship, digital marketing skills, leadership competence, and financial literacy development. 

For the first time, VSU recorded four topnotchers in the recent results of the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and placed 7th (92.64%) in the top performing schools for secondary level in the country.

This is another win for our beloved VSU as two #ProudViscan alumni graduated with flying colors in one of Thailand’s renowned universities offering graduate programs.
