Dr. Tolentino

The College of Management and Economics (CME) successfully invited one of the six members of the monetary board from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as their anniversary convocation speaker to discuss national fiscal policies and how it impacts agricultural development.

In his keynote message, Dr. V. Bruce J. Tolentino, who is the Private Sector Representative of the BSP talked about how our present monetary policy forced the national government to accommodate an uncompetitive agricultural strategy wherein many of the current interventions are anchored on farmer dole-outs that are not bringing direct gains to the national economy.

AD Scientific Index Version 3.0

Visayas State University (VSU) will not become a renowned research institution without its exemplary scientists and researchers who continue to contribute to the field of scholarly works and academic studies. 

In the updated rankings by Alper-Dodger (AD) Scientific Index this March 2023, VSU climbed 9 places higher from being rated at the 20th spot in their January 2023 edition with a total of 53 recognized scientists showing high citation impact and productivity in terms of publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals.

ISO Recertification Audit

After an intensive two-day recertification audit covering the review and assessment of the university’s Quality Management System (QMS), auditors from TÜV Rheinland Philippines found VSU’s QMS with only one minor nonconformity to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
