Visayas State University continues to uphold its strong academic reputation after its first-time takers scored a 100% passing rate during the November 2025 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination (CELE). The results were released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

In the said board exam, VSU garnered an overall institutional passing rate of 66.67%, significantly surpassing the national passing rate of 30.39%. This reaffirms the Department of Civil Engineering’s (DCE) consistent accomplishment of outperforming national averages since 2014.

In the second quarter of this year, VSU produced 34 registered civil engineers during the April 2025 CELE. During that round, the university posted a 65.38% passing rate, besting its record in the November 2024 CELE of 51.61%, ranking 8th among the top-performing civil engineering institutions nationwide with at least 50 examinees.

In the recent November 2025 CELE results, VSU emerged as the top-performing civil engineering school in Eastern Visayas for this examination cycle. The University of the Philippines Diliman was the lone top-performing school nationwide with a 95.18% passing rate.
