First, I’d like to greet everyone with a happy and meaningful World Teachers’ Day celebration, especially to our 568 strong faculty members serving on our five campus system.

To promote the use of clean and sustainable energy and ensure the security of 9,245 students enrolled at the VSU’s flagship school in Baybay City, the Physical Plant Office (PPO) finally completed the installation of 200 solar-powered lamp posts distributed in strategic locations in both the upper and lower campuses of the university.

As part of the university’s aggressive plans for continued digitalization, the Information and Communication Technology Management Center (ICTMC) in partnership with the University Integrated Media Center (UIMC) successfully rolled out 9,245 free Google Workspace for Education accounts for all registered students of the Main Campus in Baybay City, Leyte.

The university is now gearing up for the upcoming VSU Intramural Games 2022 spearheaded and organized by the Institute of Human Kinetics (IHK).

Key section heads of the VSU Culture and the Arts Center (CAC) headed by Assistant Professor Jude Nonie A. Sales embarked on a cultural heritage visit to Bohol from September 14 to 17, 2022. 

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) awarded Visayas State University with the Certificate of Compliance (COC) for its food technology program after successfully passing the inspection and monitoring visit conducted by the agency on September 23, 2022.

The VSU College of Nursing (CoN) brought another pride to VSU after securing two of the highest awards during the Midyear Conference and Workshop of the Nurse Educators and Practitioners (NEPra) Guild, Incorporated.
