As part of its commitment to promote organizational efficiency and institutional integrity, Visayas State University (VSU) recently conducted an extensive re-orientation seminar-workshop on the guidelines and procedures of the offices under Administrative Services (AS) on June 4, 2026 at the RDE Hall. 

This institutional event aims to harmonize internal operations and enhance the quality of the services provided at the frontlines.

The seminar was particularly tailored for all the heads of the offices of the University alongside all the Deputy Document and Records Controllers (dDRCs) in the departments.

As an essential component of the university's daily operations, the Administrative Services is instrumental in providing critical oversight, coordination, and administrative support.

It covers operational areas such as records management and archives, procurement, cashiering, utility (janitorial and messengerial) services, grounds maintenance and logistics (property and supply maintenance and management).

The seminar responds to changing institutional needs, introduces new procedures, clarifies existing guidelines, and keeps both faculty and staff attuned to the corporate governance policies of the university.

The training intended to equip university leaders with a more comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the new administrative processes.

As the university thrives to build a culture of increased accountability and compliance of administrative support in all offices linked to the office, filling the existing gaps in knowledge is one of the best ways.

The seminar also clarified operational paths to providing stakeholders quality service that benefits the whole VSU community, from the administrative staff to the student body.

The reorientation program is not only a crucial step towards VSU's global commitment to sustainability, but also a powerful contribution towards enhancing daily operational routines. 

The activity held is directly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, with the following goals targeted: Target 16.6: Build effective, accountable, and transparent institutions at all levels.

Through these regular professional development and re-orientation initiatives, VSU actively institutionalizes transparency and efficiency in the delivery of high-quality and reliable services to its stakeholders, ensuring a sustainable future for the university.
