Join us as we celebrate the success of 1,276 graduates of Class of 2018.

The two three-storey buildings donated by the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to the Visayas State University Tolosa campus, Tanghas, Tolosa, Leyte were officially turned over and inaugurated on June 1, 2018.

The Visayas Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Program (ViCAARP), hosted by Visayas State University, received a digital library package named STARBOOKS on May 25, 2018 at the regional office of the Department of Science and Technology in Palo, Leyte.

The university’s first graduating batch of VSUSHS program marched the stage wearing the distinct-looking ‘togarong’, a portmanteau of ‘toga’ and ‘barong’. It is a barong tagalog-inspired toga made from pineapple fabric which was first worn by ViSCA graduates in the 80’s and 90’s.

Emmanuel Jerome O. Zafico, from the Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) strand, heads VSUSHS Class of 2018 with a grade point average of 96.24%.

Visayas State University recognized its first ‘Rainforest Hero’ during the 2018 Farmers and Fisherfolks Day’s Ugmad Awards, in line with its 94th founding anniversary, held at the VSU Convention Center on April 27.
