The BS APPLIED PHYSICS is one of the newest program offerings of the Visayas State University (VSU) AND THE FIRST UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAM IN APPLIED PHYSICS IN Region VIII. Over the years, physics has made significant scientific and technological contributions. While our world is increasingly being further shaped by the rapid developments in science and technology, a degree in applied physics is vital. Applied physics is the application of physics to solve real-world problems.
The BS in Applied Physics (BSAP)degree program provides students with a solid background in physics that is needed by public and private industries to meet the growing demand for a highly competent, quality, and world-class workforce. In addition, a degree in applied physics is an excellent gateway to pursuing graduate studies in physics or related fields, such as engineering, material science, mathematics, and metrology, among others.
More About the Program, The BSAP degree program requires an off-campus internship in an industry or science/engineering center or government research facility and an undergraduate thesis. Also, Visayas State University offer a Scholarship Grant or Financial Assistance to deserving BS in Applied Physics students.
