About the Program

The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) of the Visayas State University Tolosa is four-year degree program designed to produce secondary school teachers who are morally strong, competent, instilled with genuine love for teaching and real concern for the welfare and development of learners and the country. The program also aims to produce graduates who take initiatives in research and extension.

Through BOR Resolution No. 68, s. 2018, the current curriculum of the program was crafted with reference to the program requirements specified in CHED CMO No. 75, s. 2017. Recently, the BSEd Program of VSU Tolosa was certified by the Commission on Higher Education to be compliant with the program requirements. The program is also Level II Reaccredited by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

RENZ CAGARA (Class of 2021) – won 1st place in the Poster Making Contest during the 85th National Book Week Celebration at Saint Peter’s College in Ormoc City on September 6, 2019, which was participated by students from different universities, colleges, and private and public high schools in the region, and organized by the Philippine Librarians Association, Inc., Eastern Visayas Region Librarian Council (EVRLC), and the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA).
