The Society for the Advancement of Philippine Soil Science (SAPSS) successfully conducted the International Seminar on Soil Examination and Field Description at Visayas State University (VSU) on October 21-24, 2025, which aims to promote stronger collaboration and share knowledge in soil science.

Visayas State University continues to uphold its strong academic reputation after its first-time takers scored a 100% passing rate during the November 2025 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination (CELE). The results were released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Visayas State University (VSU) has been recognized by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) for its major reduction in paper use through the online VSU-College Admission Test (VSUCAT), a breakthrough that helped VSU stand out in the 2025 Productivity Challenge themed “Paper-less—1 Million Sheets Saved.” The recognition was awarded on November 11, 2025, at the Luxent Hotel in Quezon City.
