The research paper entitled “Rice and Vegetable Value Chains Affecting Small-Scale Farmers in the Philippines” authored by Dr. Buenaventura Dargantes, Cheryl Batistel, and Joviel Teves and published by Caritas Czech Republic was cited as an international book publication by the Visayas State University.

This publication has been organized with the financial assistance of the Czech Development Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, and the European Commission.

Ms. Batistel and Ms. Teves received the award in behalf of Dr. Dargantes during the awarding ceremony held on May 11, 2017 at the VSU-RDE Hall.

The awards for publications of VSU researchers has been a university tradition in recognition of their academic research.

The Commission on Higher Education-Region 8 (CHED-RO8) recognized VSU Main and Tolosa Campuses for their 2015-2016 academic achievements, May 15, at the St. Paul School of Professional Studies, Palo, Leyte.

The Board of Accreditors of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) has awarded VSU a Level III Re-Accredited status, a step shy of the highest accreditation level an academe can achieve.
