For four years straight, VSU continued producing topnotchers in the Agriculturist Licensure Exam (LEA), now with another #ProudViscan alumna who landed 7th in the November 2024 LEA results. 

The Visayas State University (VSU) has been named once again as one of the recipients of the Commission on Higher Education’s Internationalization Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (CHED-ICONS) Awards 2024, a prestigious recognition for higher education institutions (HEIs) leading international efforts in the Philippines.

The Visayas State University (VSU) Department of Development Communication (DDC) successfully launched its seminar-workshop series across VSU campuses, starting at the VSU Tolosa for a two-day event focused on Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Materials Design and Production.

The Graduate School proudly announces the successful participation of an MS Animal Science student and a faculty member, along with two Veterinary Medicine students and faculty, in the 16th International Summer School hosted by Hiroshima University, Japan, from September 9 to 13, 2024.

Since its inception in 2008, this prestigious program has served as a platform for students and educators from Asia and South America to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and build global connections. Organized by Hiroshima University’s Graduate School of Biosphere Science, the summer school fosters academic growth through international partnerships.

Construction of a PHP 7.6 million Forest Products Innovation and Training Center (FPITC) is underway at the Department of Forest Science (DFS) Nursery Compound of VSU to boost local forest products-based industries and communities in the Visayas region.

The Graduate School Dean, Dr. Marilyn M. Belarmino, and Secretary, Dr. Catherine C. Arradaza, represented the university at a regional workshop aimed at developing quality assurance (QA) frameworks for micro-credentials in food security and climate change. The event, which brought together Southeast Asian universities, sought to harmonize standards and ensure the quality of these flexible, short-term programs.
