The whole VSU community grieves for the passing of Mr. Jovel M. Aberilla, a faculty member of the Institute of Human Kinetics (IHK), who is credited for his innate sense of creativity that empowered the local dance community here in VSU and beyond.

VSU marks another national recognition as University Professor and Dean of the College of Agriculture and Food Science (CAFS) Dr. Victor B. Asio is honored with an Achievement Award by the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP).

VSU continues to be among the Top 10 best-performing academic institutions in the country that facilitates open access to knowledge sharing according to the latest edition of the Webometrics Ranking of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines.

Researchers of the Visayas State University will be collaborating with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Sibog Katawhan Alang sa Paglambo (SIKAP) in operationalizing the Social Determinants of Health (SDH) Initiative in the town of Tolosa, Leyte. Said SDH Initiative is being implemented in partnership with the DOH Center for Health Development in Eastern Visayas.

The whole VSU community is eager to hear and learn more about the three candidates who will vie for the role of Chief Steward of the university this year. This coming Friday, February 16, 2024, at 8 AM the highly anticipated Public Forum will commence at the RDE Hall. This event is open to the public and will also be livestreamed via the official Facebook page of VSU. 

We may be disappointed and frustrated about the thought of not graduating on time than expected, but here’s a story of a #ProudViscan who proves that delays are not the end of our dreams, but instead a training ground for a bigger opportunity ahead.
