Some 253 students were officially enrolled at the VSU Senior High School (VSUSHS) to three strands: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM),Humanities and Social Sciences Strand (HUMSS), andAccountancy, Business and Management (ABM).  The 63 students who took the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) track were divided into the home economics track with 22 enrollees and the animal and crop production track with 41 enrollees.

Most of the students enrolled are under the STEM track, while 38 took the ABM track, and 55 under HUMSS.

VSU President Dr. Edgardo E. Tulin welcomed the new students, many of whom came from other provinces such as Cebu and Zamboanga Sibugay.

The program involved an orientation of the rules of conduct expected at VSUSHS, the basic library, health, and social media services the students can avail of to enhance their learning experience.

Dean of Students Engr. Manolo B. Loreto reminded the students of their responsibility to the school.

“Wherever you go, you are our students. You are bringing the name of VSU,” said Dean Loreto as he encouraged students to conduct themselves properly in the university.

After the orientation, college student volunteers facilitated an activity that encouraged students to get to know their new classmates.
