Allen Glen C. Gil, a senior Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering student at Visayas State University, will represent the Philippines in the 2019 ASEAN+3 Youth Environment Forum (AYEF) in Phuket, Thailand on September 8-13, along with three others.

VSU faculty Carl Leonard Pradera and fresh graduate Ely Louraine Albesa bagged the Best Paper award in Animal Health category during the Philippine Society of Animal Science – Visayas Chapter (PSAS-VC) 37th Annual Scientific Seminar and Convention held at the Haiyan Peak Hotel and Resort, Tanauan, Leyte on August 29-30.

Visayas State University registered an institutional passing of 75% for first-time takers and 36.36% for repeaters with an overall rating of 64.10% in the September 2019 Forester Licensure Examination.

The Biodiversity Conservation Society of the Philippines (BCSP) held its 28th annual Philippine Biodiversity Conservation Symposium on August 13 to 16, 2019 at Visayas State University, Baybay City, Leyte.

Visayas State University Isabel registered an institutional passing of 72.22% for first-time takers, with an overall rating of 68.42%, in the recently concluded August 2019 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Exam. 

Dr. Nikki P. Amarado of Visayas State University Class of 2019 ranked fifth among the 1,056 successful examinees of the August 2019 Veterinary Medicine Licensure Exam, earning a passing rate of 84.18%.
