For four years in a row, VSU has registered a 100% passing rate for first-time takers in the Nursing Licensure Exam (NLE). This year, eleven takers successfully passed the nursing board with an institutional passing of 91.67%.

The Visayas Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Program (ViCARP) held a four-day workshop for writing papers in peer-reviewed journals held at VSU from December 14 to 17, last year.

Visayas State University signed a memorandum of agreement with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and Southern Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SLCCI) to fast track the translation of technologies developed by the university into commercial products in the market.

More than fifty faculty from the VSU system attended the series of half-day workshops from December 12 to 13, 2019.

Marita A. Carlos, communication director at the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) said that besides assessing a project’s “6 P’s”, they will also look into its social and economic impact.

For two consecutive years now, VSU has been proclaimed as SCUAA-8’s overall champion.

Perez topped the licensure exam sharing the spot with 18 other passers, mostly from schools in Mindanao.
