The Civil Service Commission (CSC) recognized former VSU President Dr. Jose L. Bacusmo, and Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Lourdes Cano, during the CSC 2016 Regional Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees at the VSU Tolosa Campus, September 6.

The Philippines’ Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and VSU are geared to promote intellectual property awareness in the academe after the seminar on Technology Transfer Act (TTA) of 2009 and Intellectual Property Policies, at the PhilRootcrops Training Hall, September 15.

 The Philippine Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM) accorded the Visayas State University (VSU) as the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)  Unit for Year 2016. This was communicated to VSU through a letter sent by the 8th Regional Community Defense Group based in Camp Downes, Ormoc City.

VSU joins the Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC) in celebrating 116 years of civil service. The celebration at VSU commenced on September 1 and will continue until the 30th.
