VSU flag has been raised once more as two #ProudViscans joined the club of the Viscan board topnotchers for this school year.

Jane D. Entuna and Sherwin E. Quiño made it to the top 10 cut in the October 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), wherein Entuna landed 8th in the secondary level and Quiño placed 10th in the elementary level.

Nearly half a decade after a fire engulfed the whole Warner Apartments and displaced 20 families composed of faculty members and staff, the VSU administration finally completed the restoration of the apartment complex with its new and improved housing units.

This will soon become a local delicacy that will hopefully attract tourists and investors alike.

Another #ProudViscan is accorded the Gawad Samaritan Award by the Department of Education (DepEd) Baybay City Division for his personal and selfless way of offering his time, talent, and expertise to the students taking Special Program in the Arts (SPA).

You read it right! Cash incentive for topnotchers in VSU has been raised three times as much as more #ProudViscans are performing very well in the recent licensure examinations.

The VSU Board of Regents approved this new policy that entitles all new topnotchers of the university system with higher cash incentives that also comes with a proposal-based funding grant for the department where the topnotcher belongs.

Visayas State University is now among the top universities in the Philippines after securing the 9th spot in UniRank’s 2022 edition. This is the second time that VSU was included in the top 10 cut after placing 8th in the Webometrics ranking last year.

The members of the University Administrative Council (UADCO) voted today, January 2, 2023, to move the resumption of classes from January 4 to January 9 next week.

First allow me to express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the late Dr. Othello B. After strengthening and renewing its ties and signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 20, 2022, at a virtual event, a soil scientist and agronomist from the University of Jember (UNEJ) in Indonesia finally visited Visayas State University (VSU) for their research collaborations specifically in soil science studies.
