The Search Committee for President of Visayas State University announces the Opening of the Search for VSU President. Here is the set of requirements that applicants must secure and obtain no later than December 11, 2023.

Three years after VSU was granted the affiliate membership, the Southeast Asian University Consortium for Graduate Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources, or the University Consortium (UC), accorded VSU as one of its regular members. 

College of Veterinary Medicine Dean Dr. Santiago Peña, Jr., VSU’s 2023 Outstanding Researcher of the Year, is currently in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States as one of the first 10 Filipino Fellows of the Faculty Exchange Program (FEP) - Southeast Asia Veterinary Medicine.

Out of several campus journalists nationwide, Amaranth’s Executive Editor Jerry V. Yubal made the cut to the Aries Rufo Journalism Fellowship—a national training program named after a veteran and multi-awarded investigative journalist who wrote for Newsbreak and Rappler on various issues, such as the church, judiciary, politics, and elections.

Dr. Ulderico B. Alviola, an Assistant Professor IV of the Department of Development Communication (DDC), has been re-elected to senior leadership positions in two national communication organizations.

The proposed project from the previous College of Engineering and Technology Supreme Student Council (CET-SSC) to have a separate office building is now a reality. 

Dr. Daniel Leslie S. Tan, the former Vice President for Administration and Finance, has been appointed by the Board of Regents (BOR) as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) President of the Visayas State University (VSU) system effective October 29, 2023, until the early months of 2024.
