The entry of VSU tourism majors was hailed as the best concept paper during the 4th International Tourism & Hospitality Students’ Convention held at Baguio City on February 8.

The construction of the two three-storey buildings donated by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to the Visayas State University Tolosa campus is currently at its final phase.

For two years in a row, the Visayas State University-College of Veterinary Medicine ( VSU-CVM) was declared as the overall champion for being the ‘Most Awarded School’ in the annual National Congress of Veterinary Medicine Students (NCVMS). VSU-CVM bested 16 other participating veterinary schools in the Philippines during the three-day event.

Dr. Mario Ivan Lopez, Associate Professor at Kyoto University’s Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) paid Visayas State University (VSU) a working visit on February 10 to 14.

Visayas State University (VSU) through its Gender and Development (GAD) program took part in the 5th National Women’s Month Celebration in advocating for women empowerment, highlighting their active contribution to the country’s development.

Dr. Ricardo F. Orge, VSU alumnus and Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) scientist, was the sole awardee of the ‘2017 Manila Water Foundation Prize for Engineering Excellence’. He was conferred the title on February 13 during an awarding ceremony held at the Seda Vertis North, Quezon City.
