Atty. Crizaldy M. Barcelo, Regional Director of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)- Regional Office VIII, highlighted the significant role of  Visayas State University in the agency’s thrusts in supporting local communities through its different rainforestation and livelihood programs.

Dr. Christina A. Gabrillo, head of the Department of Development Communication (DDC) and station manager of the development campus radio DYDC-FM 104.7, won the Best Regional and Provincial Level Extension Policy Paper Award during the Knowledge Sharing on the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI)-Funded Agriculture and Fisheries Extension-Related Policy Studies held at the ATI Compound in Quezon City on March 22, 2018.

March is a celebration of women and their amazing contribution to the world. I know you have heard of an old adage that says “It’s a man’s world.” Well, look at what we’ve got? Maybe if we allow more women to run the world rather than men dominating it, perhaps we will end up better. Come to think of it, the compassion, care and love that every woman innately possesses may be the solution we are looking for to solve the pressing problems that plague us today.
