Even Typhoon Basyang and a power interruption could not stop the Valentine’s day celebration in VSU.

Dr. Edgardo E. Tulin, University Professor and President of the Visayas State University, is one of the latest awardees of the distinguished Professorial Chair Grant by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture for academic year 2017- 2018.

Visayas State University (VSU) athletes brought home a total of eight (8) medals in different sporting events during the recently concluded SCUAA National Games held from February 18-23, 2018 at the University of Antique.

The VSU Culture and the Arts Center (CAC) kicked off the arts’ month celebration in the university through a painting exhibit held on February 13, 2018 at the Center for Continuing Education (CCE). This exhibit featured the works of local artists in Baybay and have also included some works of students from the Banaag Visual Arts Group.

The College of Engineering (COE) celebrated its 8th year with a week-long series of exhibits, seminars, and student competitions held on February 19 to 24, 2018.

“VSU has a very high level of research and education,” said Dr. Jaromir Kolejka, a visiting geographer from the Masaryk University in Czech Republic.
