Visayas State University Phi Delta, the Honor Society for Science, hosted its 6th Inaugural Lecture and Acceptance Ceremonies for its eight (8) new members on May 28, 2019, at the VSU Center for Continuing Education (CCE).

Faculty and student researchers of Visayas State University bagged majority of the awards in the 3rd International Science, Technology, Engineering, Agri-fisheries and Mathematics (iSTEAM) Congress at Sabin Resort Hotel, Ormoc City on August 6-7, 2019.

The Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) has again awarded the prestigious Tanglaw Award to the Visayas State University as the country’s Most Outstanding Research Institution for 2019.

VSU will host the State Universities and Colleges - Association of Colleges of Agriculture in the Philippines (SUC-ACAP) annual convention on May 22 to 24, 2019.

VSU is producing 1,405 graduates this year, with 160 student honorees.

VSU subjected its Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program to a second cycle survey visit for Level IV re-accreditation, on May 6 to May 9, 2019. This level is the highest level of program accreditation of the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
