For two years in a row, the Visayas State University-College of Veterinary Medicine ( VSU-CVM) was declared as the overall champion for being the ‘Most Awarded School’ in the annual National Congress of Veterinary Medicine Students (NCVMS). VSU-CVM bested 16 other participating veterinary schools in the Philippines during the three-day event.

Dr. Ricardo F. Orge, VSU alumnus and Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) scientist, was the sole awardee of the ‘2017 Manila Water Foundation Prize for Engineering Excellence’. He was conferred the title on February 13 during an awarding ceremony held at the Seda Vertis North, Quezon City.

Visayas State University’s (VSU) Agricultural and Civil Engineering programs are the first engineering programs in the Visayas region to be subjected to an accreditation by the Philippine Technological Council - Accreditation and Certification Board for Engineering and Technology (PTC-ACBET).
